Churches of Christ Care Oak Towers Aged Care Service Oakleigh is located in Oakleigh and has been providing aged care accommodation since the 1930s. In 2005 we completed an extensive redevelopment and opened 88 purpose built rooms.
Nursing home:
Our new building includes a first floor Extra Services wing that provides quality high care accommodation for 22 residents. These single rooms with full ensuite are very spacious and fitted with superior furnishings and fixtures. Rooms are heated and airconditioned with individually controlled units to ensure the comfort of each resident. A personal television and small fridge are provided in each room. Lounge and dining rooms are available for the exclusive use of the residents and their families.
Personal care services:
Although our residents are encouraged to maintain independence with their everyday living tasks if extra assistance is needed our staff are available to help with showering , personal hygiene, medication, dressing, dementia and emotional support, mobility, meal assistance, special diets, rehabilitation, communication and short-term illness.
Our nurses are available 24 hours a day and are well supported by a team of qualified carers, lifestyle and chaplaincy staff. While residents are encouraged to maintain their independence, our staff are trained and committed to meeting individual care needs.
Residents have access to a range services including physio and speech therapy, music therapy, podiatry, doctors-of-choice and visiting dentists, audiologists and optometrists. CCTV surveillance of building and grounds adds to security.
A full lifestyle program is offered to residents including regular outings in the facility bus. Activities take place in our large community rooms located throughout the building, which are open for residents’ enjoyment. Worship services are conducted by our chaplains each week and visiting clergy deliver a Sunday service.
